Volunteers Keep the Tour de Brooklyn Rolling!

Our tour volunteers are essential to help keep our riders safe during the ride as well as to help with set-up, the rest stop and clean up. Register below for a volunteer shift that appeals to you and fits with your schedule. Thanks, in advance, for helping T.A. make this a safe and fun event!

Loading Day (Friday, June 4, 1-3 pm):

Help load all our materials at the T.A. office.

Set up in Williamsburg (Sunday, June 6, 6:30am-8am):

Help set up the start in Williamsburg’s McCarren Park This work involves heavy lifting and set up of chairs, tables and literature.

Registration in Williamsburg (Sunday, June 6, 8:30am-9:30am):

Sign riders up for the tour in Williamsburg at Driggs Avenue & North 12th Street and direct people to the start location. This is the most important volunteer job, because a smooth start sets a positive tone for the whole ride.

Rest stop crew in Red Hook Park (Sunday, June 6, 9:30am-12pm):

Join us in Red Hook Park to feed our hungry and thirsty riders. Get first pick in snacks here!

Finish in Williamsburg (Sunday, June 6, 12-3pm):

Greet riders returning from the tour. Help T.A. clean up and distribute information at our finish location at McCarren Park.

I'll help out wherever & whenever you need me!

Riding Marshal (Sunday, June 6, 8am-3pm) must be over 18:

Help keep our riders safe and help them with basic mechanical problems like flat tires and slipped chains. Riding marshals must have their own bikes and be comfortable with riding in Brooklyn.

Register as a group of 5 or more.

Waiver: By participating in this activity, you indicate that you understand the nature and dangers of bicycling activities, are qualified to participate in such activities and do so at your own risk. Children: Adults bringing children under the age of 14 are responsible for them and required to accompany the children throughout the ride. Please note the New York law requires children aged 14 and under wear a helmet when bike riding. Helmets are strongly encouraged for ALL riders.
